We were founded in 2020 as an all-volunteer collective.

We operated out of a basement for two years before moving to our very own office space. In early 2023, we brought on our first paid staff. We now have five part-time staff members, a storage space, and an outreach van, all supported by community donations and grants from places like AIDS United, NASTAD, the Comer Family Foundation, Remedy Alliance/For the People, and the Addiction Science team at MIMH.

We are five ordinary people without formal public health training or education, who came to this work because of our personal relationship to substances and the people who use them. We believe in developing programs that are low-barrier, compassionate, and drug user-centered and always strive to meet our participants with love and respect.
